For Tyler Davis, DMD, MS, being an endodontist is about more than treating teeth—it’s about relieving pain, treating infection and helping patients save their natural teeth.

A fourth-generation dentist and founder of Rivi Endo, Dr. Davis has dedicated his practice to one specialty: endodontics, the diagnosis and treatment of problems inside the tooth.

“I love being able to serve the community where we live,” says Dr. Davis. “Whether someone is in pain, has suffered a dental injury or needs a root canal, our goal is to help them feel comfortable, get them out of pain and save their tooth whenever possible.”

WHY A SPECIALIST?
While general dentists provide a broad range of dental care, endodontists complete additional specialty training focused specifically on diagnosing tooth pain, treating infection and performing root canal therapy.

That specialization matters. Dr. Davis combines extensive experience with technology designed specifically for endodontic care, including 3D Cone Beam CT imaging, a high-magnification Zeiss operating microscope and ultrasonics. Together, these tools allow him to visualize complex anatomy, identify the source of pain and treat areas inside a tooth that can be difficult to see.

Dr. Davis has also published peer-reviewed research on cone-beam technology in the Journal of Endodontics.

Dr. Davis has served San Clemente and surrounding communities since 2021, helping local patients with severe toothaches, dental infections, root canals and traumatic dental injuries.
