Dr. Michelle Hure started OC SkinLab to provide dermatology and dermatopathology services in a warm and approachable environment. Her emphasis has always been on education, overall skin health, skin cancer prevention and individualized, conservative cosmetic enhancements. OC SkinLab’s spa oasis, BeautyLab, also reflects Dr. Hure’s and her aesthetician’s desire to filter out all the hype and damaging spa facial services out there to provide a menu of safe aesthetic treatments. 

Dr. Hure trained at Yale-New Haven Health System and the University of Massachusetts and is also board certified in dermatopathology, which gives her the unique tools to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatologic conditions in patients of all ages. She also takes the time to teach medical students from all over the world who routinely come to shadow in her clinic. Her dedication and skill have been recognized within the county by being voted the only “Physician of Excellence” in her field by the Orange County Medical Association, top cosmetic physician in “Best of Southland” by the LA Times, “Best Overall Healthcare Provider” in San Juan Capistrano by The Capistrano Dispatch’s Best of SJC for four years in a row and runner up three years in a row for “Best Spa” for BeautyLab and recently named “Business Leader of the Year” by the mayor of SJC. She’s also a regular contributing physician expert on live news shows and mainstream print and online media. 

Dr. Hure contributes OC SkinLab’s success to her sincere desire to spend more time with her patients, cultivate relationships and give unbiased education. Having been in a large practice prior, Dr. Hure dreamed of having the freedom to design an office that centered around optimal patient care and satisfaction. In addition to her robust medical and surgical practice, Dr. Hure ensures that all non-invasive cosmetic treatments, including hair restoration, microneedling, PRP injections, neurotoxin and filler injectables and chemical peels are delivered in a relaxed and supportive environment where the emphasis is always centered around natural-looking results and are exclusively performed by her. 

As a resident of San Juan Capistrano and Chamber of Commerce member, Dr. Hure is an involved member of the community, acting as a trusted source of COVID-19 information during the height of the pandemic and spending weekends volunteering to vaccinate the most vulnerable populations in the county, collecting medications and supplies from the community to send to Ukraine, routinely passing out sunscreen at the Swallow’s Day Parade or offering free skin cancer screenings for all active first responders (including firefighters, police, EMS and lifeguards) in town.
