Ocean Auto Mall
Ocean Auto Mall – Driving Service First
By Shelley Hudson

Ocean Auto MallOcean Auto Mall’s Jeff Cappo may be a fresh face on the South OC car scene, but he’s far from the new kid on the block. Cappo’s 30-plus years in the industry and string of 30 dealerships spread out over seven states has earned him a reputation among manufacturers for excellence in sales and service.

Victory Automotive Group, Ocean Auto Mall’s parent company, acquired the Kia, Nissan, and Honda stores in San Juan Capistrano in mid-2013 and has captured the attention of the community by making a few small, but significant changes. Cappo operates Ocean Auto Mall like his other endeavors, under a simple core philosophy, “If the customer feels comfortable, the customer wants to do business.”

To create this inviting and comfortable environment, Cappo introduced value-added perks to both sales and service customers. A just-completed café offers complimentary lunch to guests waiting for cars in the service department, and if waiting is not an option, a loaner car is provided—also at no charge. All vehicles are returned washed and vacuumed as well.

Cappo cites his staff as the primary factor for driving customer satisfaction. He hired additional employees, extended operating hours, and considers training an integral part of every work day. “Our salespeople are all ‘car buffs.’ They’re driven by product knowledge and information. We have drastically improved the customer experience, and this is how we do it,” explains Cappo. Patrick Peters, General Manager at Ocean Auto Mall’s Honda dealership, elaborates, “We take a unique approach to the car business here; it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen in all my years in the field. Most GMs sit behind a desk all day and look at spreadsheets. To the contrary, I greet guests in the lobby and introduce myself to every person walking in the door. This practice is not only an enjoyable part of my job and great for staff morale, it’s empowering for our customers to have this kind of access. Trust is very important to a customer making a sizeable investment.”

Ocean Auto Mall’s customer service efforts are underscored by the group’s impressive sales performance. The number of cars sold in January was more than double the mark in the same period in 2013 before Ocean Auto Mall took the reins. Cappo is modest about his success, however, “It’s easy when you have highly-trained people who want to be here; we just stick to the basics.” Patrick Peters agrees, “It’s true. Everyone is greeted and made to feel welcome. We want our customers to tell their friends about us!” Advances in automotive technology have kept the interests of buyers piqued as well. Peters says his best-selling Honda models are perennial favorites: Civic, Accord, and CRV. With all three boasting fuel economies in the 40 miles per gallon-plus range; that’s not surprising. Peters is especially enthusiastic about the redesigned 2014 Civic and the upcoming 2015 Fit, which will be larger and even more of a fuel sipper. Newly-implemented safety features like the “lane departure camera” and integrated smart phone applications offer drivers options to help mitigate tedious freeway time.

Nissan’s reputation in the market for solid, reliable trucks and sedans is buoyed by the brand’s “Safety Shield” monitoring system, pursuit of sustainable manufacturing methods, and consistently remarkable values. Kia’s safety ratings, sophisticated styling, and increasing residual values keep these models at the top of sales charts, too. Motortrend named the Kia Cadenza and Kia Forte best-in-class, with features including ventilated front seats and in-vehicle wireless connectivity for diagnostics and navigation. The jaw-dropping UVO “Infotainment and Telematics” suite allows drivers to make hands-free calls and manage music libraries with only voice commands, making road trips fun as well as safe.

For Jeff Cappo, his commitment to making Ocean Auto Mall as successful as his other dealerships starts and ends with his clients. “I feel like I’ve been doing this since Moby Dick was a minnow,” he laughs, “but it’s always, always, always about the customer.”

Harv Wyman, The Mortgage Manager
By Shelley Hudson

Harv WymanAs the South Orange County real estate market slowly inches its way to a more favorable climate, homeowners, prospective homeowners, and market watchers inevitably shift focus to property values, refinancing, and optimizing investment strategies. With new government regulatory pressures and increasingly stringent lending requirements in place, partnering with a seasoned industry veteran is a pivotal decision toward securing your financial future.

With a 25-year career in the local mortgage finance arena, Harv Wyman has witnessed the extreme highs and lows of the Southern California real estate market. As a graduate of USC, Wyman made his home in Laguna Niguel, where he and wife Kim have raised their four children, coached youth teams, and enjoyed a 20-year membership at the Monarch Beach Club and the El Niguel Country Club. “Over the years I have made so many great friends and acquaintances; that’s why I love doing this. I like being entrenched in the community and helping my neighbors make the right choices,” shares Harv.

After operating his own brokerage firm for many years, Wyman recently transitioned to a position as Senior Mortgage Analyst with Alpine Mortgage Planning in the Ocean Ranch neighborhood of Laguna Niguel. As a subsidiary of Pinnacle Capital, Alpine Mortgage boasts unparalleled strength and unlimited resources within the industry. “It’s amazing to be able to present such a variety of lending programs to clients,” says Wyman, “Since Alpine funds its own loans, I have a flexibility that I was never able to offer in the past. I have absolutely everything at my disposal.” In addition to conforming and jumbo loans, Alpine provides FHA/VA, interest-only, reverse mortgages, and special programs for borrowers who don’t quite fit the criteria of traditional lenders. Clients who have suffered setbacks from a flagging economy such as a short sale, bankruptcy, or foreclosure can take advantage of Alpine’s Alternative Mortgage Program, which is designed to get families back into homes without the “seasoning time” requirement. “Most companies can accommodate the ’round peg-round hole’ buyers, but we can extend our services to a wider segment of the population. With Alpine’s own mortgage-backed security, almost anything is possible,” adds Wyman.

Changing legislation in the mortgage industry has resulted in tighter restrictions for both lenders and borrowers. Despite a challenging regulatory environment, Harv asserts that Alpine’s core competencies lie in the versatility and financial strength behind the company’s product mix. His ability to offer more competitive, high performance programs—and to fund them faster—allows him to deliver results for his clients under circumstances where other mortgage brokers and bankers can’t. The accessibility to specialized products, coupled with concierge-level customer service have generated a loyal and long-term clientele for Wyman.

Harv’s analysis of current market conditions is optimistic, but guarded. “The historically low interest rates helped stimulate the local economy toward a rebound, but rates have been slowly creeping back up. In fact, we’ve seen a full percentage point increase since May. Combined with the usual seasonal sales slump, more properties on the market, and rising prices, buyer incentive has plateaued. All signs point to a continuation of suppressed interest rates through 2014, however. The traditional home-selling season is Spring, so we expect to see a similar boost in activity this year as well.”

Let Harv Wyman’s experience and resources work for you. To learn more about mortgage and refinancing opportunities you might not find elsewhere, call Harv directly at 949.939.3410 for a private consultation.

Capistrano Toyota
By Shelley Hudson

As Capistrano Toyota General Manager Roger Hogan, Jr. surveys the expansive dealership, he stops to shake hands and chat with every customer along the way. Maintaining the highest standards of personal attention and integrity are the founding principles upon which his father Roger, Sr. grew the business into the success it is today.

Capistrano Toyota’s sterling reputation and no pressure sales philosophy are the cornerstones that continue to fuel its growth. “My dad was determined to make this industry more reputable,” Roger explains. “We want customers to know that car people can be good family people. The easier we can make a customer’s experience with us, the more successful we are. We like what we do, and we want to offer a fair deal.”

Jerry Hernandez, Irvine Valley College basketball coach and loyal Capistrano Toyota customer, sums up his experience, “Going to the dealership is like dining at your favorite family restaurant where you know everyone. The Hogan brothers are always there—it’s about a sense of trust and the security of knowing that someone will take the time for me. I’ve referred at least 25 friends or family members to Capistrano Toyota in the last ten years.”

Community outreach remains an integral component of the Hogan philosophy as well. Capistrano Toyota recently partnered with the Dana Hills High School football team and Honor the Valor to raise over $20,000 for military veterans. “We were approached by one of the players about helping out with a fundraiser. When I learned about Honor the Valor, I said, ‘How about if we donate a car?'” recalls Roger. “I have a soft spot for veterans—both of my grandfathers served during the Korean War and we work with many Marines from Camp Pendleton. This was a team effort, and I was happy we could be a part of it,” he adds. As the fundraiser’s grand prize winner, local resident Bill Sidenfaden couldn’t be more pleased with Roger’s donation of the new 2014 Toyota Matrix.

Homefront America is another worthy organization that benefits from Capistrano Toyota’s generosity. This group provides scholarships to military dependents and assists military families in need. The dealership and several employees “adopt” families each year to provide necessities and support. The Ocean Institute, youth education and sports programs, and Capistrano Animal Rescue Effort (CARE) are also organizations that receive assistance from the Capistrano Toyota family.

Roger Hogan, Jr. is enthusiastic about his dealership’s outlook for 2014 with the upcoming rollout of several new vehicles. The Corolla, Tundra, RAV-4, and Highlander have completely new body styling, and all 2014’s come standard with Bluetooth technology. The top-selling Prius and the new RAV-4 EV plug-in models are all highly-anticipated and well-reviewed. With the opening of the Toyota Truck Center on the adjoining property earlier this year, sales of trucks and SUVs have skyrocketed and Capistrano Toyota is now the fastest-growing truck seller in Southern California. The Hogans have even more expansion in the works—Claremont Volkswagen is scheduled to open in early 2014 next door to Claremont Toyota (operated by Hogan
brother Stephen).

The service department has also increased capacity with the addition of several new service bays at the Truck Center, allowing customers to get rolling even quicker. On top of the always complimentary Wi-Fi, local shuttle, concierge service, car wash, and continental breakfast, new customers can score $10 oil changes for any vehicle on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

December is the busiest month of the year in the auto sales industry, and Capistrano Toyota is ready to meet the demand. Inventory is packed with competitively priced new and pre-owned cars, SUVs, and trucks. Be sure to ask your salesperson for the locals only “Back Yard Deals” and incentives.

Roger, Stephen, and Kyle Hogan have grown up in the car business alongside their father Roger, Sr., and all three brothers are now raising families of their own. Roger, Jr. is excited to welcome “Oh Baby!” #5, due to arrive in Spring 2014. “We all work hard, but our families are most important,” says Roger, “I still have lunch with my dad every day, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Luciana’s Ristorante

Luciana's Ristorante

Luciana's Ristorante
Luciana’s Ristorante
By Bonnie Small

“Umph and Zing!,” says Jorge Luhan II, are his mother Lucia’s trademark criteria for a well-prepared dish. And as Luciana’s Ristorante, a culinary landmark in Dana Point, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, the community is in for a healthy serving of both. Established in 1983, Luciana’s opened in tune with a very different dining culture – guests arrived in black tie and the original menus included detailed descriptions of such exotic drinks as “espresso” and “cappuccino.”

Today’s diners are both more culturally sophisticated and more casual. Jorge Luhan II is thrilled that locals now think of Luciana’s as not just a “special occasion” restaurant, but also as an “any night” destination where families can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine and couples can unwind with a delicious bottle of wine after a long day.

All in the Family
A true family business, everyone played a part in the day-to-day operations, including Jorge’s Grandma Mary Vallera who made all of the fresh pasta for the restaurant until she was 90! Before she retired, Mary taught the kitchen staff the “right” way to create it, and even now, as she celebrates her 100th birthday, the first question she has for her grandson is always, “Who made the pasta today?” Mary learned the art of pasta making at just six years of age – strictly by hand – mixing, rolling, and cutting each batch daily, refusing to ever use a machine.

Luciana’s menu has certainly evolved over thirty years, although many of the original family recipes remain, including Grandma Mary’s Ravioli di Vitello and his mom’s Linguine Luciana. The kitchen rarely veers from its emphasis on the simple preparation of high-quality, fresh ingredients. The Mediterranean diet, which is now creating a buzz as a “new” culinary trend, is merely what Jorge’s family has intuitively understood and practiced for decades as part of their Italian heritage. “Farm to table is what we’ve been doing for generations,” says Jorge, “Knowing where your food comes from and eating handmade meals is how my family has always lived.” For years, he’s witnessed his mother and grandmother artfully craft fresh, delicious dishes that would keep the family gathered at the kitchen table for hours. And with the family’s matriarch turning 100, they just may have been ahead of the times. Americans are just recently beginning to transition away from processed and fast foods. “You look at trends and you get to watch them come full circle,” says Jorge.

History in the Making
Lucia and her husband ventured back to her homeland in the late 80’s in search of a quiet retreat from their busy American lives. As they happened on a 500-year-old Tuscan farmhouse in Montevettolini, complete with 18 acres of olive groves, they knew they found home. Within a year, Lucia began pressing olives and creating oil. In keeping with her philosophy of using only the best ingredients of known origin, she’s been supplying the restaurant with Villa Lucia’s organic extra virgin olive oil for years. The Luhans have plans to market their product and hope to have it available for your table in the next few months.

The Legacy Continues
Jorge attributes Luciana’s longevity to the strong family foundation laid by his mother and the internal culture of the restaurant. The Luhans believe that life revolves around the table and feel that the key to the restaurant’s success stems from a willingness to be in tune with what customers want and to provide a consistently high level of personalized service. Luciana’s staff is like a family and Jorge finds that the higher the bar is set, the more they rise to the occasion. As the 2nd generation to oversee the restaurant, he is proud to have carried on the family legacy for over 20 years now. On any given night, you’ll find him warmly greeting guests and stopping by tables to make certain that diners are having an experience that would make his mother and grandmother smile.

Family Expansion
Very active in and devoted to the community, Jorge is a member of several local business organizations and is also involved in the revitalization of Dana Point’s Town Center. In November 2011 the family grew when he married his lovely wife Anne. As a physician and the proprietor of Elite Medezin in Dana Point, Anne has also developed strong ties to the area in which she now calls home.

As Luciana’s kicks off its 30th year, Jorge and his entire family hope that customers of every vintage will stop in and say hello. In the coming months, Luciana’s will feature some favorite classic menu items and they hope that the community will help them celebrate by sharing personal stories of memorable meals and moments at the restaurant.

Halstrom Academy

Halstrom AcademyMission Viejo’s Halstrom Academy thinks outside the box when it comes to educating 6th through 12th graders. The school’s one student, one teacher approach is the core principal behind its academic success and an impressive college admissions record backs that up. An environment where customized schedules, online classes and a content mastery philosophy that allows students to progress at their own pace is the norm at Halstrom, not the exception.

Most notable is Halstrom’s hyper-focus on the individual needs of each and every student. How the Academy engages its students is equally as important as the curriculum it provides. By implementing a one size does not fit all environment – students, parents, teachers and the school’s administrative staff partner to develop a tailored plan for individualized learning. Whether a student’s vocation or sport requires remote classroom access, or a child thrives through one-to-one instruction, Halstrom employs a cooperative approach with no limits to achieving academic excellence.

Katie Vandermost
Creative Writer / Artist / Intern / Volunteer / Student Body President

This Fall will mark Katie Vandermost’s third year at Halstrom Academy. She excelled at her former school, but found the “existing friend groups” intimidating and the schedule daunting. She was originally introduced to the school by a neighbor. “I went to an open house and fell in love with everything,” enthuses Katie. “At Halstrom, I’m able to think freely. I have room in my life for creative outlets, and I’m more motivated to succeed. I have real relationships with my teachers, and I know when I’m doing something right.”

Katie’s involvement with the National Charity League and her summer internship at a local ad agency keep her busy but grounded. “I just wouldn’t have the time to dedicate to my other interests if I went to another school,” Katie acknowledges, “This way I can do everything I like but still have fun along the way.”

Connor Perkins
Eagle Scout / Marine Biology Enthusiast / Piano Student / Athlete

Social Studies and Science are Connor Perkins’s favorite subjects, but this almost-ninth-grader has a lot more on his mind than the next midterm. He found attending a school with six jam-packed classes per day both stressful and limiting. Connor’s mom, Marianne, explains, “Everything is so efficient at Halstrom. Connor missed sports practices and time with family because of the heavy homework burden at his former school. Now he can have the lifestyle he wants and still experience academic growth.”

According to Connor, the rank of Eagle Scout would have been impossible to obtain without a flexible schedule. His final project for the Scout promotion was a booth at Newport Beach’s “Kelp Fest” which included a touch tank and other educational materials. “It was a lot of work to put together and report on,” says the ambitious teen, “but definitely worth it.”

Summer & Serenity Phillips
Competitive Equestrians / Athletes / Aspiring / Veterinarian and Chemist

Sisters Summer and Serenity Phillips have been riding horses and rising through the equestrian ranks for eight years. Their grueling training and show schedules made it difficult to concentrate on studies and enjoy time with friends until they switched to Halstrom Academy. The school’s individualized approach allows each girl’s academic talents to shine and the flexible scheduling provides them time for their sport. Summer has won awards in all of her most recent competitions and Serenity has advanced her technique by leaps and bounds since they started at Halstrom two years ago. “This school has changed me as a student,” says Summer, “My teachers focus on what I need to improve.” Serenity agrees, “I just feel smarter here because I don’t get passed over.”

Kevin Graham Russ GrahamJFC XPress Tire CenterKevin honed his skills while working at John’s Foreign Car Service – which happens to be South Orange County’s oldest independent automotive repair shop; owned by his father, master mechanic Russ Graham. Every summer growing up, he learned the ropes of the family business as well as what it takes to provide customers with both quality and value. He attended St. Edward’s School and after graduating in the third alumni class at JSerra High School, he earned a degree from Point Loma University in San Diego. After graduation, Kevin found himself in the same predicament as many recent college grads – searching for a job. He faced the challenge head on and turned it into an opportunity to start his own enterprise.

Graham combined his know-how and business education with the entrepreneurial spirit he learned from his father and opened his own tire store in early 2012. Russ stood on the corner of Crown Valley Parkway and Forbes Road with a sign pointing toward his son’s shop every Saturday. Within a year, the business outgrew its location, so Kevin moved it to a larger space adjacent to his dad’s shop. A 32-year industry veteran, Russ knew that getting the right message out to potential customers is the most difficult aspect of owning a business. Kevin is constantly reinvesting in his company and securing the latest software and equipment to offer the highest level of service to his customers.

With the expansion, JFC Xpress is able to provide a larger selection of in-stock tires as well as a full range of “xpress”—one day or less—services, including alignments, suspension work, oil changes, and brake jobs. A huge inventory of tires in all ranges are on hand every day, including high performance models, light truck and “run flats.” Graham keeps his overhead low by buying in bulk, and he passes the discounts on to his clients. In fact, Kevin states that his prices are lower than any other local shop and even lower than his warehouse store neighbor a block away. “95% of my business is referrals,” says Kevin, “and that motivates me to do the best job I can every time.” When clients find out how much they’re saving—up to $100 per set of tires—word-of-mouth advertising spreads quickly. JFC Xpress guarantees the lowest prices and will match any competitor at any time.

While most local automotive stores parse work out to other shops, JFC Xpress keeps customer waiting times to a mini- mum by offering all services in house and using state-of-the-art technology including dealer-level diagnostic software, tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and “touchless” tire-changing equipment. This allows Graham’s technicians to quickly perform a battery of tests and diagnose issues on the spot. The “touchless” equipment ensures the perfect installation and fit of new tires without ever touching the wheel—ideal for after-market rims and high-end “driving machines.”

Kevin knows that time plus good service equals success in the automotive industry, and he’s set out to prove himself in the community he calls home. His parents, Russ and Sheila, couldn’t be prouder. “Kevin knows more about tires than I’ll ever know,” Russ admits, “I don’t even bother mounting tires anymore—I send all that business to him. JFC Xpress is your one stop shop for all your foreign & domestic car repair needs.” Check out JFC Xpress’s May specials and come see how much you can save!

Acting Academy for Kids

Acting Academy for Kids

Acting Academy for Kids
By Shelley Hudson

When Stephen Zygo was teaching fourth grade and running his school’s K-8 theater department, Acting Academy for Kids was just a seed of an idea. As arts programs were being slashed due to widespread budget cuts, Zygo saw a need in the community and wanted to continue helping kids discover their inner performers. Stephen and his wife Maggie took a leap of faith, followed that passion and created an environment where students are free to explore musical theatre, acting, voice, dance and instrumental music.

Acting Academy for Kids is now a burgeoning, multi-program organization, exposing young people to all aspects of the performing arts. The Academy’s home base at the Camino Real Playhouse in San Juan Capistrano and satellite location at The Gate in Rancho Santa Margarita allow aspiring singers, actors, musicians, and set designers to try their hands at the real thing. In the Acting Academy’s Musical Theater Series, young cast members produce and perform popular Broadway musicals every 12 weeks. These seasonal programs each culminate in a full-scale production with professional lighting, sets, and sound.

The Academy also offers Performing Arts Camps all summer long. These week-long sessions provide children and teens with a “full-theater immersion experience,” capped off with a performance for family and friends. Campers have the option to sign up for one week, the whole summer, or anywhere in between. “Summer camp is the perfect ‘test-drive’ for a child who’s interested. It’s a great opportunity for kids to interact outside their peer groups as well,” enthuses Maggie. With the popular camps at the Camino Real Playhouse and the launch of camps at San Clemente’s Cabrillo Playhouse this summer, the Zygos hope to get more kids involved than ever before.

In addition to its seasonal and summer camp programs, the Acting Academy provides after-school acting classes (group and private), vocal training, and guitar and piano lessons. Fundamental concepts like improv, line memorization, character development, professional singing techniques and voice-over training give the student a performing arts foundation that helps develop self-esteem. “Acting Academy for Kids helped transform my son from a shy athlete into a confident stage performer,” says one appreciative mom, “It’s a delight to see him willingly hang up his cleats one day per week to participate in the arts.”

The Zygos’ Acting Academy is more than a livelihood for the couple—it’s a true labor of love and a way for Stephen to combine his “twin passions.” Stephen and Maggie both have advanced degrees in education and they assert that the quality of the faculty sets their programming apart. “Our teachers are trained performing artists AND credentialed educators,” says Maggie, “They understand how kids learn.”

Acting Academy for KidsStephen and Maggie pride themselves on the authenticity of the experience they offer as well. “We want the kids to see the real deal—an active dressing room, staging, lighting design, and set creation in a genuine working theater. Hands-on learning helps kids understand that each role is vital to the success of a show.”

With feet firmly planted in both the arts and in education, the Zygos have taken their show(s) on the road with their “school services” concept. They collaborate with schools, churches, and community centers, administering enrichment programs for organizations that don’t have the staff or resources to develop their own.

Stephen gives much credit for the Acting Academy’s excellence to the system of parents and volunteers who help bring each production to life. “It takes an army of crew, costumers, lighting and sound technicians, set designers, box office corps, and photographers to make a theater come alive” he says. “We’re proud that we provide teachers with jobs in the performing arts and that our students find friends, fun, and confidence along the way,” Stephen continues, “At Acting Academy for Kids, we aim for young performers to have all the opportunities possible to learn to present themselves, speak publicly, showcase their work, and understand the sheer teamwork involved in an endeavor like this.”

OC Real Estate 411Readers might remember Matt and Robyn Webb from a Local Dish feature last year detailing their bustling business called OC Short Sale 411. The Webbs answered a desperate need in the marketplace for homeowners who were tethered to bad mortgages or who owed more than their home was worth. What a difference a year makes! As the housing sector recovers, the Webbs are getting back to the methods that set them apart when they started their real estate company in 2004: bringing a business approach to real estate, with an elevated level of professionalism and intense focus on the homeowner’s profitability.

Recent reports have shown a dramatic change in the South Orange County real estate market, and with it has come an acute inventory shortage. In fact, inventory levels are so low that once a home is in the MLS, and priced at fair market value, it’s as good as sold. So how does one choose an agent in a market where an agent is a commodity?

Enter Robyn and Matt Webb of OC Real Estate 411. They understand all too well that public perception is that hiring a real estate agent to sell your home is a “necessary evil.” Matt and Robyn utilize a powerful “Design To Sell” business concept to take your real estate commission dollars and put them to work in a definitive, profitable manner.

The “Design to Sell” concept is a value-added service that works for a wide range of homeowners, with varying goals, that may have a budget from as low as $200, up to $30,000. This “mini-makeover” starts with an unbiased, third party valuation of the home’s market value. The Webb team then assesses the home and recommends changes that increase visual appeal for the home’s sale value. The Webbs can take a seller’s small investment and apply it to upgrades, typically resulting in a nearly 1,000 percent return. That’s not a typo. The average investment a client makes is $3,769, and the average return – based on sales price – is $42,900. Matt and Robyn retain and manage all subcontractors at no charge – that’s like getting the services of a general contractor for free!

On top of these smart design concepts, Robyn and Matt stage the home with the homeowner’s existing furniture and some of their own added pieces. The end result is a dramatic makeover, with mass buyer appeal, bidding wars, and a final sale price that exceeds the homeowner’s expectations. The Webbs even guarantee their work and structure commissions based on actual results.

Having closed over $100 million in real estate, with MBA’s in Marketing from USC, Matt and Robyn have expertise in understanding the dynamics of showing a home to prospective buyers. “Despite their many different preferences and personalities, there are some common threads amongst all buyers, and we know them well,” Robyn adds.

In addition to running this multi-million dollar operation and raising a family, the Webbs are heavily involved in the business development side of real estate. Both Matt and Robyn travel all over the country teaching credentialed real estate courses. “We learn a lot from teaching,” says Robyn, “and we hope to raise the bar of professionalism in this industry.” She has been recognized by OC Metro and the Orange County Register and is a regular guest on AM 870’s “The Home Show.” Matt also sits on the Board of Directors of the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, which raises millions for kids with the disease. “Despite having healthy kids ourselves, this organization has touched me and I’m happy to help families who aren’t so lucky,” he says.

Robyn and Matt bring the same level of dedication and determination to everything they do. Robyn insists, “We don’t want satisfied clients. We want them dazzled!”
