A Night to Support Surf & Turf Therapy

Surf & Turf Therapy is a nonprofit organization providing physical and speech therapy, adaptive recreation and mental health services through equine, surf and other nontraditional settings for children and adults with disabilities throughout South Orange County. Founded and led by Dr. Jillian Stewart, PT, DPT, HPCS, Surf & Turf uses meaningful activities to support physical development, communication, emotional well-being, confidence and independence.

Surf & Turf Therapy serves participants with a wide range of diagnoses and support needs, including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, rare genetic conditions, neurological diagnoses and developmental disabilities. Individualized services help participants work toward goals ranging from improved mobility and communication to greater confidence, independence and participation at home, school and in the community.

As demand continues to grow, community support helps Surf & Turf Therapy expand access to its specialized programs.

This year’s Chukkers for Charity will take place Thursday, Sept. 24, at the OC Polo Club in Silverado Canyon. Guests will enjoy an exhibition polo match, dinner, cocktails, rider demonstrations, live music by The James Kelly Band, silent and live auctions, dancing and more.

A Sponsor Reception begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by the main event from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Chukkers for Charity is Surf & Turf Therapy’s largest annual fundraiser, with proceeds supporting therapy services, adaptive recreation, specialized equipment, horses, staffing and community programs.
